The NSCN/GPRN is saddened and expressed its disbelief over the untimely demise of MK. Pamei, Steering Committee Member, s/o late Rangthiu Pamei, of Longdi Pabaram village, ZLR Region, who breathed his last on 16th Dec. 2009 at around 9.30 am at Burma Camp, Dimapur, after prolong cardiac illness. Late MK.Pamei, Liangmai, who was born in 1942, served as Asst.Inspector of School under Tamenlong Autonomous District council, Manipur, before joining national service. He started his journey as a true, faithful and devoted national worker in the first part of 1992. A prominent and well recognized personality of the nation who left an indelible mark in the social structure for his contribution to the national movement first held the post of RCM from 1992 to 1994, Dy. Kilonser, Home, 1995 to 1997, Kilonser, Law & justice, 1997 to 1998, Kilonser, Educations & NGOs, 1998 to 1999 and elevated to Steering Committee Member in 2000, and served in the same capacity till the last moment.
His passing away is not only a lost to the Zeliangrong Region but also a great lost for the Naga Nation who would be remembered as one of the faithful and dedicated nation builders for generations to come. At this moment of grief and sorrow, NSCN/GPRN conveys heartfelt condolence and prays that may Almighty God grant solace and courage to the bereaved wife and family to withstand this irreparable loss and prays for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace.

Further, it is informs to all concern whether national workers, public, well wishers etc., that the official funeral service of late MK. Pamei, Steering committee Member, shall be held at CHQ, Hebron, at 9.00am on 17th Dec.2009, which will be followed by last funeral service to be held at his residence, Burma Camp, Dimapur at 2.00pm on the same day.
