Statement on the execution of  ZA.Kathing, Ex Chairman, District Council Ukhrul.

1st April 20009

It is serious matter for the Naga nation when a person of social standing deliberately chooses to go for a head-on confrontation course with NSCN that collided with Naga interest. But a time comes when NSCN could tolerate no further lest the Naga social-political society is polluted to serve the interest of the anti-Naga forces. It is unfortunate that NSCN were compelled to execute Mr. Kathing when nothing of his activities relates to Naga interests other than benefitting those working against Naga political interest. NSCN has been forbearing and forgiving the misdeeds of Mr. Kathing for quite a long period. But he chooses the wrong way to test the nerve of NSCN only to mislead the people against NSCN. In too many occasions he was found to be operating in collusion with anti-Naga groups. He was warned to mend his differences with NSCN. But he ignored NSCN’s warning in a most despicable manner. At last, the execution has to be ordered against Mr.Kathing when nothing works to save him.

This killing of Kathing at the hands of NSCN is a serious warning that anyone found collaborating with anti-Naga forces shall not be tolerated.

Press Release

1st April 2009

When the so-called P. Tikhak, Dy.Kilonser of K-group continues to spit venom against NSCN it become a matter of public curiosity to know the background and exact identity of him. He is from Namyong area in Burma. He was adopted by Manipur’s UNLF many years back and in the years that followed he was indoctrinated with anti-Naga and anti-NSCN teachings. Once he reached certain level of maturity in his misguided political thinking he was inducted into K-group but only to serve as a mouth piece of UNLF at the behest of K-group.

After he was adopted by UNLF he shifted to Changlang for shelter. But within no time he started behaving in typical K-group to act as the lord of the local people, interfering in all local affairs including election. Money was his weakness and opium is his constant companion. For all practical purpose UNLF worked for him as his ghost writer, and all directed against NSCN based on unfounded allegations. Lest the Nagas are confused Tikhak has to be given his proper place by disclosing his credentials that has no place in Naga society. Public scrutiny is important for a person of  Tikhak  standing , and his manner of writing.

Press Release

3rd April 2009

Coming to face the grim reality of today’s world our concern goes to the helpless condition the Naga society is facing. The women folk irrespective of age are no longer safe whether they are inside the four walls of their house or in the open. They are made vulnerable everywhere. What has gone wrong with the mentality of men? Many are still on the move with demonic character but in human incarnation. What happen on 25th March at Darogapathar in the house of Imtiwati Aier is too shocking to imagine. Why our men have gone so beastly? And why our brothers and fathers and even sisters and mothers in the police department not doing enough to rein down on the criminals. Nothing will be able to compensate and console the victim. Deterrent measure through befitting punishment may be worked out but mental tortured and stigma will stay for a long time to come. And this is what matters the most to the victim and the family. Let us pray and cooperate with the security and investigating agencies to help bring justice at the earliest. Let women organizations come forward to assist the police in tracking down the rapists. And to clean the society such anti-social elements be thrown out and to make them rot in jail for life.

We express our heartfelt sympathy to the victim of 25 March and also of 13 year old girl gang-raped at Sachu colony yesterday. The police should leave no stone unturned to book all the rapists and thrown behind bars never to come out again.

Our girls and women should also go for preventive measure. They should not make themselves too vulnerable in the eyes of the men with criminal mentality. In this regards manner of dress is to be taken care of. Decency is to be guarded. Because society abound with men with lustful intention. Don’t give them chance by being careless.

Press Release

3rd April 2009

The beastliness of the gang rape of a young Naga girl on 25th March at Darogapathar by five miscreants has evoked public condemnations, and the common refrain is to book the criminals for a befitting punishment. With Naga society getting more criminalize by day this unfortunate rape case is not new in Dimapur and other places of Nagaland. But the seriousness of the police in pursuing the case to its logical conclusion is to be seen to serve as a deterrent to the other would- be rapists. There is also an indication that these inhuman and barbaric crimes are treated as any ordinary every day crime where the police just lost interest in the case due to pressure from differences sources. The police or the investigation officer ( IO) are also easily bribed to led the case go slow and to led it pass into oblivion with the passage of time. This is the ground reality in the matter of rape cases. What is critically important is the lack of transparency and sense of commitment to show social responsibility while dealing with the rape cases. Wide publicity is necessary while giving any punishment to the rapists. This is yet to be seen. And the would-be rapists looms at large like a hungry wolves. What a tragic state of affairs!  Our mothers, our sisters and our daughters are not safe anywhere. These dangerous anti-social elements are ready to jump at any person of opposite sex to satisfy their lust irrespective of age.

Placed under such situation the women and students organization should recharge themselves with greater awakening consciousness and pursue the case without losing steam. They should also stand firm to overcome any vulnerabilities. They must face the grim reality of the rape and the victim. The approach should be to focus on the deterrent side so that such dirty incidents are not repeated. This calls for better coordination between the polices and the Civil Societies who values human dignity giving due honor and respect to the fairer sex.

Our sympathy goes to the mother and daughter. Words will come short of consoling them. Nevertheless, courage and faith in God should see them through this hour of physical and emotional turmoil. If the law and order agencies are to prove its worth as the guardians of the society, everything must proceed in right earnest and show result at the earliest.

Let our mothers, sisters and daughters roam free without being preyed upon and let their homes be secured from all those prying eyes of the devilish gang members

Press Release

6th April 2009

With the Lok sabha election just round the corner the game of conspiracy mastermind by the Congress is very much a reality in Tirap district of Arunachal Pradesh. And the forces used are Assam’s ULFA, Manipur’s MPA (Manipur People’s Army) Nagaland’s K-group and Kachin’s KIA (Kachin’s Independent Army). For the past one month these groups with unrevolutionary characters has been creating nuisance to the villagers at Laju, Lapnam, Dadam, Muktwa, Thinsa, Longpu,Kheti, Wakka, Chanu, Jepwa and Chasa in the Tirap district. Everything was made to happen right in the eye of the 19 Assam Rifles, besides the 3 Dogra Regiment and 36 Battalion of CRPF located just within a 10 Kilometer radius in Khonsa town. No counter security measure whatsoever was taken by these government forces. But when the cries of the villagers reached the door of the Naga Army of NSCN, firing was inevitable to save the innocent villagers. And the most demeaning response from these forces that unfolded expose everything of the nexus between AR and these forces against NSCN. Why are the AR not stopping the marauding forces and pointing their guns towards NSCN who are coming to the rescue of the villagers?

On April 3 this combine forces had their meeting in Japwa village but AR was a mute spectator. The next day on 4th April these group were seen moving in Chanu Village with AR behind them as their guardian angels. Wherever they go they were given logistical support by AR lest the Naga Army caught them unaware.

Today, on 6th April around 100 cadres of K-group, MPA, ULFA and KIA were moving towards Chasa village near Khonsa. Sensing the motive of their movement in such big number the NSCN attack them in the early morning at around 3 am that lasted for nearly 10 hours when the firing stop at around 3 pm. 3 of their cadres were killed on the spot and many were injured. What is astonishing before the public in the area was that throughout the firing the AR stood solidly behind these terrorist groups, standing in the way of NSCN and not giving them free movement. This counter attack of AR against NSCN has been deliberately planned in collaboration with these very forces they have been targeting in the state of Manipur and Assam. But in Arunachal Pradesh the AR have folded their guns against these groups. Such is the dangerous nexus that goes on in Arunachal Pradesh with the blessing of Congress party. But come what may, NSCN will not leave the public alone to be looted and harassed. They will fight for their right and for their honor. Under these circumstances NSCN cannot help but condemn the sinister game plan of AR in helping the terrorist groups against NSCN.

PRESS RELEASE

19th  April, 2009

The Easter Sunday morning, i.e. 12 April 2009, incident at Sianlem village under Laju sub-division in Arunachal is most disgraceful. The

combined forces of KIA, ULFA, UNLF and NSCN (K) numbering around 80 armed cadres attacked the Naga Army stationed there where one UNLF

cadre Haubijun alias Kokillakva was killed. The NSCN (K) group knowing fully well that the Naga Army personnel would be observing Easter

Sunday led the attack.

The NSCN (K) can no longer hide its nefarious agenda of fighting its own people with the help of other revolutionary groups. And Naga

people are not naïve to pass judgment on your wicked plans. Naga people are very clear of their political issue so also who are

genuinely working for the Naga people and who are not.

Let it be known that the KIA, ULFA and UNLF are fishing in troubled water for the Naga Army will appropriately dealt with anything to come

in its way. These groups would gain nothing by fighting the Nagas. The true revolutionaries do not meddle in other people’s affairs but only

the mercenaries do.

We believe the KIA, ULFA and UNLF represent their peoples’ aspirations. Fighting the Nagas will not lead you to anywhere.

PRESS RELEASE

It is shameful for the defectors who tried to clean themselves by joining other organization. Indiscipline and corruption always bring bad name to the government. And they never felt comfortable and secured due to the sense of guiltiness. Recently, when some Lothas defected to K-group they leave behind a record of their own that compels them to take shelter in K-group.

Sgt. Maj. Samuel Mozhui of Yamparosa Village was discharged from national service for drug abuse and willful disobedience of government order. Sgt. Maj. Chumben Kithan of Sanis Village was involved in extortion. He exploited the GPRN’s name to fill up his pocket. He extorted Rs.2 lakh of NREGS without the knowledge and authorization of GPRN. Myinthungo Humtsoe Pajou Peyu of Yonchucho Village and Pte. Tsulanthung Kikon of Sanis Village has turned themselves as misguided elements.

These sorts of elements in the organization with anti-social character will never contribute towards the process of reconciliation and unity. If K-groups Kilonser RM Lotha can reform these tainted national workers, well and good. The Nagas shall remain grateful to him. But everything is not as made to believe by RM.Lotha.

This is inhuman and there should be no laxity on the part of the Delhi police to arrest the criminal at the earliest. At the same time the Delhi police should not be found wanting in restoring the confidence and trust in the process of delivering the dignity that only justice can bring.
