AICC President and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi’s style of campaign in Nagaland and her manner of harping on Indo-Naga issue is abysmally repugnant to Naga taste. Indo-Naga issue is not to be treated as a subject of adventurism. To be realistic, Sonia Gandhi’s approach is archaic and unfair and needs immediate changing. Otherwise, her injudicious remark is to be treated as a matter of serious insult to the Nagas. Significantly, the state Congress members’ silent on Sonia Gandhi’s remark is shocking and surprising. Sonia’s remark has come an undesirable addition to the unpleasant remark left behind by NSA Shri MK. Narayanan during his visit to Kohima on February 16, 2008.
Much to the chagrin of the Nagas it is getting all the more visible that the Congress is turning more capricious and going against historical reality. This is not the solution the Nagas are seeking with the govt. of India, and this is not the commitment given to the Nagas.
The unpalatable remark of Sonia goes on to say that “the Constitution of India had enough room to accommodate the aspirations of the Naga people within the framework of Indian Constitution”. Is this the Congress political interpretation of bringing honourable Indo-Naga solution? To recognize the Naga issue as a political issue should not go the way of showing disrespect to the historical reality. The political ethics demands that Indo-Naga issue should not be made the victim of political brink-man-ship. But more than anything else Sonia’s irresponsible remark not only expressed her political immaturity but a breach of the ‘ unconditional terms’ that set off the Indo-Naga political talks ten years ago and with more than 60 rounds of talks, where the historically supported proposals of the Nagas had been tabled.
The indulgence of Congress as opportunist is dubiously exposed through its election manifesto that stands for Naga integration, but the UPA’s CMP where the Congress heads stands for territorial integrity. This double standard policy is the most uncultured congress way of looking at the Indo-Naga issue.
There is no sincerity in the Congress approach to Indo-Naga political solution. And there is no political will in the hands of the Congress to solve the Indo-Naga crisis that begins more than 60 years ago in the Congress’s hands. And what is the Congress’s meaning of honourable Indo-Naga solution?
Such duplicity on the part of the Congress never fits into her place as provided by Indo-Naga history. Nagas have endured for more than 60 years of hardship with great fortitude. But to condition the Nagas to come first under the Indian Constitution is just another bombshell for the Nagas. After all, Nagas have not fought for 60 years with blood and tears to accept the Indian Constitution.

The killing of Muslim Council Dimapur President Furkhan Uddin by unscrupulous persons should shock the human conscience of any citizens in Dimapur. Why stoop to such level to eliminate a person of social standing? This will never go own well for the peaceful co-existence of all communities in this cosmopolitan town of Dimapur.
Unbecoming is the manner of Azheto group blaming the NSCN for the killing, but blame-game is just to divert people’s attention. And the habitual liars will not hesitate to put somebody in their place for having killed Furkhan Uddin.
NSCN expresses its condolence to the killing and expresses sympathy for the bereaved family members. The NSCN’s concern also goes toward the Dimapur Muslim Community whose damaged emotion will take long time to heal. May God of the Universe give strength and comfort to sustain the shock and grief.
The NSCN at the same time condemn the killing as inhuman and call upon the right thinking people to do the same in the strongest voice.
March 7, 2008
The unbecoming and unethical approach of certain underground elements in getting their voice propagated to the public but without any supporting evidences to be found news-worthy by the editors is taking serious inroads into the media functioning. For the reason of not resisting to such unfounded press notes the credibility of the Dimapur-based newspapers is in for a serious questioning, and if not, awakening, in order to serve the people with news that are factual-based.
In the unfortunate incident of the killing of Dimapur Muslim Council President Furkhan Uddin, V. Ghukato Sumi of unification group has shown his ugly head implicating Lt.Col. Elizah of NSCN, and forcing the newspaper to publish the wild allegation. This does not go down well with the reputation of the paper itself, but the fact that the paper comes under immense pressure is also understandable. But in the blame game the truth become the victim and the public are denied the true picture of the true story in focus. In the context of such misleading situation the reporters of all papers need to go for investigative journalism, if at all the truth has to be dig out and set at rest public conscience. Depending too much on the press handouts of the groups concern has turned out to be a risky affair as far as knowing the truth is concern.
Where is the face of Ghukato today implicating Lt.Col. Elizah? Are the Press convinced of Ghukato implicating Elizah? Pro-active role of the press is the only answer.

The democratic spirit and the democratic choice to be exercised by the newly elected MLA’s cannot be hijacked. But ironically the congress party after failing to outdo the Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) to form the government resorted to the most degrading manner, a crime in the true political term, by desperately trying to block the independent MLA’s from joining the rival camp. This is sheer act of going against people’s choice of who should run the state government.
Much to the indignation of the Naga People who have exercised their franchise, the congress party in the person of S.I Jamir, a successful congress candidate from Dimapur-ii dispatched four gang members belonging to the traitor’s gang of Mr. Azheto Chophy to abduct 49 A/C Tamlu independent candidate Phom Dako. This was possibly to swing to the chance of forming the govt. against the DAN, where the independent candidates are placed to play the decisive role. The confession of the gang members was reported in NE-Tv live telecast and all local papers on 9 March, 2008.
Though NSCN have taken its own time to deny its hand despite its name being dragged into the abduction game, the true picture cannot be hidden. By knowing the logic of the abduction bid and the person behind is enough to indicate the congress culture, willing to stoop to any level to capture power. But the people’s will is what really matters the most and NSCN shall respect the People’s Will.
20 March. 2008.
Significantly, November 21 has come to be recorded as a ‘Conspiracy Day’ in the history of Indo-Naga political negotiation where our own Nagas allowed themselves to be used as stooges and even going to the extend of forming a duplicate NSCN as treacherously planned and executed by the Indian intelligence bosses in New Delhi. The ulterior motive was to cause artificial road blocks to Indo-Naga political settlement under the pretext of the Nagas not united under one body. But the unfolding political drama that was witnessed, starting with the unpalatable episode of Azheto Chohpy that took off on the evening of 21 November 2007, calling the Sumi cadres in the NSCN to desert with arms and uniforms came to the disastrous end following the shattering defeat of the Congress. Even UPA Chair Person and President of the Congress Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh failed to wave the magic wand in Congress favour despite tall premises to change Nagaland under the Congress manifesto when everything came to naught after the election result was declared, it sent Azheto gang members in a state of total confusion as their plans were thrown into disarray. Hobnobbing with the Congress MLAs and other NPF defectors, the Azheto gang, wearing the false crown of unification was planning for a dangerous political gamble to undo the 60 years of Naga struggle.
The story of the conspiracy was hatched in New Delhi on November 21, to destroy the Indo-Naga political talk for the benefit of certain sectional interest. But the plan was doom to failure for the stand taken by certain group of NSCN members. The crucial program was ultimately discussed at the residence of Mr. Deepak Tiwari, GSO, Military Intelligence (MI) where the issue of die-hard NSCN members like Qhevihe, Qhehezu Tuccu, Vikiye and others were seriously deliberated. Participated by Khaplang group led by Mulatuno, the meeting ended with the decision to eliminate these members at any cost. And thus Rs. 10,00,000 – 20,00,000/- lakhs was placed at their heads. That was the beginning of the another sinister anti-Naga game plan engineered by New Delhi using Azheto and his like minded gang members.
But obsessed with the name ‘NSCN’ these anti-Naga gang of traitors and defectors are still taking shelter under NSCN nomenclature to be counted as national workers. And blessed and nurtured by the government of India to counterweight the NSCN this conglomeration of Indian sponsor stooges have the temerity to show its ugly faces whose only interests are motivated by parochialism, money and power. Nagas historical political interests do not come into their scheme of things.
For the sake of Naga national interest NSCN and on behalf of the Naga people this gang should stop using NSCN because this has come as a national disgrace and insult to the whole Nagas who have the genuine aspiration for the protection of Naga political identity led by NSCN under the Collective Leadership of Isak Chishi Swu and Th. Muivah.
20 March. 2008.
NSCN has mistakenly used Indian Army Chief General Deepak Kapoor as the Army Officer who initiated the conspiracy with Khaplang group led by Mulatuno to kill top NSCN leaders belonging to Sumi community. The true identity of the officer concerned is Mr. Deepak Tiwari, GSO, Military Intelligence (MI). The mixing up of names is regretted.
Speech of Mr. Isak Chishi swu
The Yaruiwo of Nagalim
On the 28th Republic Day Celebration
At Council Headquarters, 21st March 2008.
Beloved compatriots, I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on this auspicious occasion of the 28th Republic Day of Nagalim. As we celebrate this historic day, we are also reminded of the sacrifices made by our beloved comrades who are no more with us today. I urge you to join me in paying homage to the departed souls and commit ourselves once again to carry forward the principles and values they upheld.
It is a matter of fact that, Naga national struggle for freedom has overcome many difficulties. At one of those times where our national future was put to threat through the signing of Shillong Accord in the name of NNC/FGN on 11 November 1975, the National Assembly condemned it and subsequently approved the formation of the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN) on 31 January 1980 and salvaged the nation from doom. True to the declared policy of the NSCN, a government that envisage the supremacy of the people’s will was formed on 21 March 1980 and christened the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN). With that, a new day dawned.
In retrospect, we feel proud of this government that revitalized and has gotten complete hold of the entire nook and cranny of Nagalim, served the interests of the people and delivered the goods. The GPRN has zealously guarded the rights of the Naga people from the aggressors. It has given much effort to promote democratic values, basic human rights and peaceful co-existence. The NSCN propagates peace as one of our political principles. This vision has motivated us in signing the Geneva Call Deed of Commitment on 17 October, 2003, whereby we committed to a total ban on uncontrolled use of anti-personnel landmines. From a confined movement once, Nagalim is now a prominent member of the Un-represented Nations and Peoples’ Organization (UNPO). We are also a member of the prestigious Parliamentarians for National Self-Determination (PNSD) based in UK . Besides, we feel proud to have established diplomatic relations and missions across the globe. Yet, the task is incomplete. Much need to be done until we find peaceful and an honorable place in the world to live in – a world that mutually recognize and respect the other’s history, tradition, culture, rights, identity, territory and above all else, freedom.
Allow me to remind once again that, NSCN is committed to the politics of democracy that advocates the principle of determining the national future of our people. It is strongly opposed to the policy of expansionism being pursued by the Indian state in the guise of democracy. India’s persistent attempt to impose her will upon others is anti-thesis of democracy. Democracy does not distort history and negate the truth. Therefore, the indestructible national right of the Nagas is a reality to be recognized, not subject to debate.
As the Indo-Naga conflict is political in nature, so shall the solution be political. The Nagas understand that India and Nagalim are interrelated, as relativity is the law. One is indispensable to the other, as nothing exists in isolation. The objective of the bilateral talks is to hammer out a tangible solution that is acceptable to both the parties. But one thing to be cleared is that Nagalim should not be held as a ransom for the interest of others who are not even party to the talks. Besides, as much as total isolation of one from the other is no solution, so is merger of one party to the other. The desired solution must therefore, give a major thrust on strengthening the relations and security of both the parties, without which any attempt of solving the decades-long problem will be a futile exercise.
Nations like organism grow through revolutionary law. Moreover, this natural growth of nations can in no way be stopped by any power however great. Empire rises and falls. Empires are perishable political units whereas nations are indestructible and immortal. The Roman and the British empires that once ruled over nations have gone never to return, but those nations survived and have outlived them. The former is the artificial edifice of emperors whereas the latter is the creation of the God of nations. Likewise, the growing Naga nation can never be uprooted. The Nagas have nothing to be afraid of the phantom of Indian militarism. India may kill thousand Nagas, but she can never kill the issue. The Nagas believe in the political concept that the right of a people to freedom is inherent, not the generous gift of a state. It is by this natural right to self-determination that all the nation-states came into being. The present dominated nations like the Nagas and others, who are groaning under the repressive rule of the Indians and the Burmese expansionist states, can by that right, build states of their own choice. Therefore, for a smooth transition of power, we agreed to a political negotiated peaceful solution.
However, it is strange that even after six decades of Indo-Naga conflict and ten years of ongoing Indo-Naga political talks under 5 successive Indian Prime Ministers, India is still yet to admit the reality. That dominance of one by another is not acceptable to the Nagas and therefore the people alone have the authority to decide their own destiny. It takes wisdom to foster a good relationship for peaceful co-existence with the neighboring states and peoples for political, economic and intellectual development, so that each may develop to one’s potential and contribute in making the world a better place today and for posterity. Taking this opportunity, I, on behalf of my people thank all the international organizations, countries and individuals involved in giving tireless efforts to make that dream come true. But, total lack of sincerity and the will to resolve the issue on the part of the Government of India is solely responsible for the delayed solution. Therefore, I further appeal to the international communities to ponder seriously over the lackadaisical attitude of India on the Indo-Naga political issue and give concerted effort to assist restore peace and justice to the Nagas.
Respecting the expressed wishes of the people for a genuine unity, the Collective Leadership of the NSCN responded magnanimously and thus declared, “Peace and Unity through Reconciliation” among various groups on 13 January 2007 after undergoing three days of national fasting and prayers. Subsequently, a committee was constituted and was working on seriously, reaching out to other camps, much to the enthusiasm of the people. As this new positive development was not to the taste of the adversaries, an evil plan was hatched to sabotage it and thus on 23 November 2007 some of the misguided renegades leaned against each other and formed the euphemistically called, ‘Unification’ group. It is very unfortunate that the sanctity of genuine unification was at stake. However, I thank the Almighty God that they could neither convince nor confuse the Nagas and the outside world. Today, with no takers but heaps of condemnations from all quarters, the so-called Unification group is in a rocking boat in the middle of nowhere.
People and nations rise through the spirit of revolution. Who can say that revolutionary Naga people will not rise to be free? And who on earth can hold back the march forward of the revolutionary Naga people? No one but only destructive elements will think so. We pity those reactionary forces who, with the backing of the enemies, have been desperately trying to pull back the wheels of Naga national revolution. Let them learn the truth that liberation of a people to become master of everything is the destiny. Revolution is the task of the people, which has nothing to do with traitors and collaborators. We find that no traitors have ever been the champions of a people’s revolution in history.
Fellow citizens, the NSCN is very clear that other than broad-based ‘peace and unity through reconciliation’, we see no other option. All others are agendas of the adversaries.
Now, as we come to the final stage of working out mutually acceptable solution that is just and honorable between the GoI and NSCN, we need preparedness in all fronts. Therefore, comrades, do not forget that the last few steps towards the finishing line in a race are the most crucial and hardest, as by then, all the resources are exhausted. Nevertheless, remember that it is only a few steps away from the crown. Hence, I urge all of you to sincerely rededicate for the cause of the nation and be a living sacrifice.
K U K N A L I M
22 March. 2008.
What began in November 21, 2005 in new Delhi at the residence of Mr. Deepak Tiwari, GSO, Military Intelligence with the active participation of the Naga traitors led by Mulatuno finally took off in November 21, 2007 at the hands of Azheto Chophy who defected again to Khaplang gang from the back door of CHQ. Hebron after signaling his Sumi cadres in NSCN to desert with arms and uniform. Many followed him blindly but the majority sniped at him. And he shouted Naga unification from the safe distant at Niuland to justify his unholy alliance with his old friends in the Khaplang gang. Many blindly believed him because of the people’s obsession with ‘unification’ and not knowing the damaging anti-Naga program already in the making. This group rush to New Delhi for consultation and the installation of Congress government in Nagaland was discussed as part of the anti-Naga agenda to force solution within the Indian Constitution.
November 21 indicates that the Azheto-Mulatuno conspiracy to undo the 60 years of Naga struggle was originated in New Delhi at the behest of the government of India led by Military Intelligence in 2005. Azheto feared obstruction in the conspiracy in the person of Qhevihe, Qhehezu Tuccu, Vikiye and others. And thus Rs. 10,00,000-20,00,000 was placed on their heads to smoothen the sectarian call of unification. The last minute effort to convince these NSCN leaders to join the conspiracy gang proved futile. And the defected Azheto gang on 23 November 2007 disappeared to appear in Niuland to join hands with Khaplang group under the defector leadership of brother-in-law duo Kitovi and Mulatuno.
Some of the vulnerable Congress members in Nagaland jump into the anti-NSCN and anti-Naga band-wagon as part of the program that was treacherously timed and targeted against the Naga people political aspiration. The few NPF members allowed themselves to be used by Congress machination, and undemocratically forced President Rule in Nagaland. Ironically, this was found to be the starting point to bring Congress into power by hook and by crook using the state machinery for the Congress and against the DAN candidates.
God forbid the evil to go too far in their program. The Congress never found the number to occupy the seat of power in Kohima. The Azheto gang went hazy and disarray, with many desperately trying to their way back to NSCN to secure their future. “NSCN will not betray God and the Naga people” said NSCN General Secretary Th. Muivah, as he spoke to the Naga people on the occasion of the 28th Republic Day celebration at CHQ, Hebron. This comes important in the face of the act of betrayer by traitors like Azheto and his gang members before God and before the Naga people. But to fulfil their selfish motive of existence they are still sticking to the name “NSCN” to claim themselves as national workers. Indian sponsor stooges will always find pleasure in promoting India’s constitutional interest.
Political traitors have no political identity and political traitors working at the behest adversaries will go to any extent to preach the sugar coated unification. But the Nagas are no longer naïve to be carried away by such deception, because Azheto unification call falls under “Naga unification for Indo-Naga solution under Indian constitution”. But that is not solution the Nagas have struggle for more than 60 years. The Nagas should be aware of this treacherous program which finds reflection in the November 21, 2005 meeting in New Delhi between Indian Military Intelligence (MI) and Naga traitors represented by Mulatuno and others.
The days are not far off when these traitorous gang will be isolated by the Nagas because crooked road is not the road towards Indo-Naga solution. Crooked road is used by Satan and Satan stands for eternal damnation.
31 March 2008
MIP/GPRN :On 29th March 2008 am at 5th Mile, National Highway Dimapur, NSCN member Mr. Daile, ASO attached with the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MRA) was abducted by Unification group. This is quite unbecoming of a group that is going the way of a unlawful goonda group on the look out for soft targets and victimizing innocent national workers just for the pleasure of making their presence felt. This is wrong and this is no way to justify their image as a force working for unification. Unconditional release should be initiated immediately.
31 March 2008
MIP/GPRN: Who is against unification and who is against the Indo-Naga solution on the basis of the Naga peoples’ political aspiration that has been made to go through baptism by fire for the period that has crossed 60 years? NSCN knows best the burning desire of the people and that was the reason why the government of India is finding the road tough during the last 10 years of Indo-Naga political talks, because Nagas refused to budge. But India resorted to the most despicable act of political immorality by engineering the rise of an obstructionist force against the might of NSCN forces but in the guise of a slogan for unification. A short live obsession was noticeable but lacking political legitimacy it is gradually fading away to damnation. Backed and brainwashed by the Indian intelligences groups the anti-unification forces in the under the name of unification group is desperately kicking to make its presence felt taking the name of unification and prodding other Naga groups to toe their live of action to fulfill the interests of the government of India who is finding the end of the road in dealing with the Collective Leadership of NSCN. This is the turning point of the Naga crisis that has arisen in the name of unification. India needs a person with NSCN tag but pliable to the dictates of the Intelligence agencies whose target is to sideline NSCN leadership and carry on the Indo-Naga talks with the amenable set of political thinking that will not clash with the Indian constitutional terms and conditions. But their game plan has been scrutinized by NSCN in particular and the Nagas in general and found lacking to meet the standard for Naga unification. History has been cruel to Nagas but Nagas learns quite a lot of lessons to guide their way through.
On the issue of unification the Nagas have to question unification group why they run away from the call of NSCN Chairman Isak Chishi Swu if they supported his proclamation of January 13, 2007. the simple answer that need no further probing is the realistic revelation that they are not the master of their own thinking but mere stooges to serve the masters’ bidding that comes all the way from New Delhi. This is not a mere information for the Nagas but educative in the political interpretation lest the Nagas are outsmarted by the sweetly coated propaganda of Indian government using anti-Naga brand of unification that is confined within Nagaland and within the Indian constitution but made to appear as a integrated unification by exploiting Isak Chishi Swu.s brand of unification. But the Nagas cannot be fooled that unification can be brought about by deserting his master to serve the constitutional interests of India. This is the Unification group true standing today. And wiser should the Nagas be that leaving aside the absence of political justification where are these poeple moral justification? Nevertheless they are not in their own control and wisdom. They are simply used and nothing matters to them other than satisfying the purpose of their creation to undo the terms and conditions under the new situation to be forced on the Nagas under a new political dispensation. And that was the reason why the unification group was out in full strength in the recently concluded Assembly Election. Thank God, the political course was saved from going downhill at the hands of the India sponsor forces that was stopped in the midway, and hats off to the Nagas people for understanding who they are.
