NSF suggests pay scale filter

Dimapur, November 3 (MExN): An interesting but odd suggestion was made today by the Naga Students’ Federation to check backdoor appointments – those jobs entailing the pay scale of above Rs. 4125  should be requisitioned through the NPSC while those below the scale may be appointed through “departmental examination.” A note was received here from the NSF today where the suggestion was made as the NSF’s “principle demand.” In the words of the NSF: “…the federation reiterate its principle demand that above the pay scale of Rs. 4125 should be requisite (sic) through Nagaland Public Service Commission and below this scale the state government should introduce departmental examination as to avoid backdoor appointments.” And again more interestingly, the NSF suggested that retired government “employees” should never be appointed as “consultant” in the “same department where the concerned employee relaxed.” Meanwhile, the NSF thanks all in concern “who stood beside” the organization for “successfully introducing the length of service” for government employees of the state.
