NSCN(I-M) against anti-social activities Taking serious note on the kidnapping of Dr. S. Singsit, principal chief Conservator of Forest, Manipur on November 30 from Imphal for ransom by the combined reactionary force of UKLA and PSG led by Thamboi Thoudang aka Henry of UKLA and ‘ss’ captain Suba of PSG, the NSCN(I-M) has strongly contempt and sternly cautioned against such anti-social activities carried out within and without Nagalim and harbouring or making Naga villages a hide out for such crimes. In a press statement issued by ‘Colonel’ Levi Zimik, PRO Naga Army said the NSCN(I-M) said that such happenings would be severely dealt with and if any individual or group found to be indulging or harboring such activities would be judged sternly befitting the nature of crime. In its endeavour to check these anti-social elements, the NSCN(I-M) has appealed for cooperation from public and further informed that if any suspicious movement is observed and to alert their ‘town commands’ which has been set up at all important and strategic towns and villages. Further, the statement added that Dr. Singsit was rescued by Senapati ‘town command’ of Huthrong brigade, Naga Army and the perpetrator Thamboi Thoudang was apprehended and held in captivity who on interrogation confessed to have carrying out the crime in collaboration with the PSG. He also revealed that UKLA and PSG have been working together in carrying out such activities targeting rich businessmen and highly placed government employees.
