NSCN/GPRN CAO reacts to ZB’s statement; gives 15 days to clarify

NSCN/GPRN Zeilad Zeliangrong Region has strongly reacted to calling its central administrative officer a “self style” CAO by Zeliangrong Baudi. In a signed rejoinder to the press statement by the Baudi, CAO Zeilad Zeliangrong Region Saturday termed this act as a “challenge to the NSCN/GPRN.”

Emphasizing that all cadres of NSCN/GPRN are not “self style national workers”, the CAO has warned that “necessary action shall be initiated” if the Baudi failed to explain its position “within 15 days from the date of publication of this news item”.

Zeilad Zeliangrong Region has also termed the Baudi’s demand for “the termination of the post of CAO from his service” as unfortunate and based on “unfounded ground”. The CAO has asked the Baudi to seek for “pardon from the GPRN before it will be too late.”

The rejoinder further stated that T.A. Rongmei was the president of the Rongmei Council, North East India (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) and also the convener of the coordination committee of three councils: Zeme Council, Liangmei Council & Rongmei Council.

Explaining why the CAO, has denounced the Baudi as “unmandated”, the rejoinder said that T.A. Rongmei participated in the convention held on July 30, 2010. In the same convention, “the representatives from the NNC and NSCN (K) along with the representatives of the three councils walked out in protest against the imposed resolution” as the participants failed to reach a consensus.

The central administrative officer also reiterated that the Baudi should be aware of their involvement with Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) as it was “well established with proof and evidence.”
