The National Socialist Council of Nagalim was deeply grieved to learn that Mr. Phil Estmonde passed away on Dec.27th 2011 in Sri Lanka. In his death, the NSCN in particular and the Naga people in general have lost a great peace-living friend.
He was a great peace activist and a great facilitator of reconciliation with a humble heart. He was one of the active members of the FNR which saved the life and blood of many Naga people. His name will always be in the history of the Nagas struggle for liberation through peaceful means, and the Naga people will remember him with love and respect.
Deepest condolence to his wife Kaushaliya, family members, members of the quakers, FNR and his friends. May God welcome Phil Estmonde in His heavenly home.
